Product Care Guide

I. Core Care Philosophy

Texture and lifespan depend on proper use and meticulous care. Correct maintenance not only preserves the luxurious quality of the product but also allows the leather and hardware to mature over time, developing a unique patina that is exclusively yours - transforming the piece into a treasured work of art.

II. Cleaning Before and After Use

1. Before Use:

Gently wipe the leather surface and hardware with a soft, dry cloth (microfiber cloth is recommended). Pay special attention to crevices in the leather and gaps in the hardware to remove dust, preventing skin irritation or abrasion of the leather during use. If there is light dust on the leather surface, you may use a soft-bristled brush to sweep it away gently. Do not rub vigorously.

2. After Use:

Clean immediately after each use. Use a slightly damp, soft cotton cloth to gently wipe away stains along the leather grain. Do not allow sweat or body oils to remain on the leather for extended periods, as they may corrode the material.

For stubborn stains (e.g. oil or marks), use a professional leather cleaner (neutral pH, non-corrosive). Apply a small amount to the cloth, then wipe gently. Do not pour the cleaner directly onto the leather surface.

Hardware cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth with a dedicated hardware care powder (such as sponge powder) to polish the hardware from time to time, maintaining the luster of the 24k gold plating and preventing oxidation or discoloration. If the hardware accidentally comes into contact with water, dry it immediately with a dry cloth. Never wipe wet hardware with a damp cloth and leave it to air dry.

III. Daily Maintenance & Care

1. Leather Care:

Weekly: Gently wipe the leather surface with a clean, soft cotton cloth to remove dust and keep the leather breathable.

Monthly: Apply a specialized leather care lotion (choose a care oil or cream that matches the leather type). Spread it evenly over the leather surface and massage gently with a cloth until absorbed. This nourishes the leather fibers, prevents cracking and fading, and enhances leather durability.

Important: Do not use alcohol, disinfectants, soap, or other harsh cleaning products, as they may damage the leather finish or hardware plating. Never immerse the leather product in water, as this may cause deformation or hardware oxidation.

2. Hardware Care:

In daily use, avoid exposing the hardware to rain, oil, chemicals (perfume, skincare products, disinfectants, etc.) or sharp objects, which may cause plating erosion, scratches, or oxidation discoloration.

When not in use for extended periods, apply a thin layer of dedicated hardware protective oil (or petroleum jelly) to the hardware surface, then wrap it with plastic wrap to isolate it from air and slow down oxidation.

If the hardware shows slight oxidation, gently polish it with a specialized metal polishing paste to restore its luster. For 24k genuine gold plating, use a polish without abrasive ingredients.

IV. Storage & Collection Guide

1. Storage Environment:

Store in a dry, well-ventilated place away from direct light.

Avoid:

Direct sunlight (prevents leather fading, cracking, and accelerated hardware oxidation) Humid environments (prevents leather mold and hardware rust) Areas with heavy cooking fumes or dust

2. Storage Method:

For long-term storage, first wipe the product clean with a dry cotton cloth and allow it to air dry completely. Then place it in its dust bag or wrap it in pure cotton cloth to isolate it from dust and air.

Fill the interior of the leather product with clean soft paper or specialized filling material to maintain its shape and prevent deformation from pressure.

Place a desiccant pack (silica gel desiccant is recommended) inside the storage bag and replace it regularly (every 1-2 months is recommended) to absorb moisture and prevent mold.

Store leather products of different colors separately to avoid color transfer or abrasion.Do not store leather products in sealed plastic bags, as the leather needs to breathe and may otherwise develop mold.

V. Handling Special Situations

1. Leather Dampened/Wet:

Immediately absorb surface moisture with a dry cloth. Then air dry naturally in a well-ventilated, shady place, or use a hair dryer on low heat, keeping it at least 30 cm (12 inches) away from the leather surface to avoid heat damage. Do not expose to direct sunlight or place near heat sources such as radiators or ovens.

2. Leather Stained (Color Transfer):

If the leather accidentally picks up color from another surface, wipe it immediately with a clean, damp cloth. The sooner it is treated, the better the result. Do not use alcohol, bleach, or other harsh products. If necessary, contact customer service for a professional cleaning solution.

3. Hardware Rust /Severe Oxidation:

Do not attempt to sand or scrape the hardware with abrasive materials such as sandpaper or blades, as this will damage the plating. Contact customer service for professional restoration.
